TOPEKA (KSNT) – Staff are set to implement expanded hours at the Topeka Vendors Market next week.
Ashton Veazey, part of the management team at the market, told 27 News the new hours will take effect starting on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Currently, the Topeka Vendors Market is only open Thursday to Saturday.
“Starting next week, we are going to be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,” Veazey said.
Veazey said the expanded hours come from a desire to give locals more opportunities to shop at the market and its many vendor booths. She said that being open for only three days a week limits how often people can visit the market and browse what it has to offer.

In addition to the new hours of operation, Veazey said people can look forward to some upcoming holiday-related events at the market in the days ahead. She said staff will be holding an Oktoberfest and Topeka Vendors Market birthday celebration on Oct. 24. She also said people can go to the market later this year for photos with Santa Claus and the Grinch.
The Topeka Vendors Market is located at 528 SE Adams St. and occupies two floors of a large building near the city’s downtown area. You can learn more about the market by heading to its website.
