LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Tre White will have one more year for the Jayhawks.
Kansas has announced that Tre White will return to Kansas for a fifth year of eligibility.
The Jayhawks announced the news on Friday in a social media post.
White earned an injunction against the NCAA in Monroe County, Indiana, court on Wednesday to grant his fifth year.
“Tre received a TRO and is eligible to come to campus and practice, and hopefully play in games,” head coach Bill Self said in a statement on X. “He’s had a great offseason and performed well with the (Miami) Heat and had a very successful summer league. When the opportunity presented itself to go back to college, he wanted to come back to KU, and we welcomed that. He pursued this on his own, which shows he wants to be here.”
He started all 35 games a season ago, averaging 13.5 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Jayhawks.
