MANHATTAN (KSNT) — The Jayhawks grab a big rivalry win on the road.
It was a slow start for both squads, with neither team scoring in the opening 45 minutes. Both the Jayhawks and the Wildcats had just one shot on goal in the first half, courtesy of KU’s Jillian Gregorski and K-State’s Gabby DeMers.
Right out of the break, in the 49th minute, Kansas’ Jordan Rowan would find the back of the net to make things 1-0 Jayhawks.
At the 66-minute mark, KU’s Jocelyn Herrema added another tally for the Jayhawks, putting them up 2-0.
Norah Jacomen picked up the assist on Rowan’s goal, while Caroline Castans got the apple on Herrema’s.
Kansas will travel out to Boulder, Co. to take on No. 24 Colorado on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. The Wildcats will visit No. 7 Baylor in Waco on Saturday, kicking things off at 12 p.m.
