MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A longtime Kansas State tradition is happening once again in the Aggieville district ahead of homecoming weekend.
The 111th homecoming celebration at K-State started on Monday, Oct. 12 and runs until Saturday, Oct. 17. The Paint the ‘Ville art event is where each sorority and fraternity is assigned a window in Aggieville to paint a theme of their choosing.
This is all to show support for homecoming weekend at the university. Students win points for their organization by having the best window.
“I really love being able to develop artistically, but also like a leader,” said Catie Burr, a K-State student in Kappa Alpha Theta. “And I have a really great group of girls to lead. They make it really, really easy, and it’s always just so fun to be creative and like show off our K-State Pride.”
“It’s really cool,” said Anne Cross, a K-State student with Alpha Delta Pi. “A lot of Panhellenic and people are here, and so it’s really awesome to connect with other chapters, even though technically we’re against each other. It’s cool to, like, know we’re all doing it for the same reasons.”
