What We’re Tracking
- One more hot day
- Sun to storms on Tuesday
- Rain mid-week
Mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight and much of Tuesday. Morning temperatures will be in the upper 60s before warming into the upper 80s and lower 90s by Tuesday afternoon.
Our next storm system arrives late Tuesday, bringing increasing chances for scattered thunderstorms. The area is currently under a slight risk for severe weather along an approaching cold front Tuesday evening. Some storms could become strong to severe, producing damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Rain chances continue off and on through much of Wednesday and into Thursday. Along with the wetter weather comes a noticeable cool-down. High temperatures will fall into the lower 70s Wednesday before dropping back into the lower 60s by Friday.
Behind the cold front, a taste of fall returns. Several mornings later this week could start in the upper 30s, marking one of the coolest stretches we’ve seen in quite some time.
