SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Law enforcement has identified a man who died as a result of a reported ATV rollover crash in Shawnee County Sunday morning.
Staff with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office released an update on Oct. 19, stating that the person who died in the ATV crash was Chris W. Ross, 63, of Topeka.
Deputies responded to reports of an ATV crash just after 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 18 in the 4200 block of Northeast Sherman Road. First responders arriving at the scene found one person, later identified as Ross, unresponsive.
Family members attempted CPR on Ross until deputies arrived at the scene and took over lifesaving measures. Medical and fire personnel later declared Ross dead at the scene.
