KANSAS CITY, Mo.– Kansas Republican Attorney General (AG) Kris Kobach says the U.S. Senate race in the Sunflower State has an effect on the down ballot races.
National media hones in on Kansas U.S. Senate debate
Republican U.S. Senator Roger Marshall has a very close race against Democratic Challenger and Church of the Resurrection Founder Adam Hamilton. Kobach on the other hand, is going up against Democratic Challenger Chris Mann, the same candidate he went up against four years ago. Kobach narrowly won that race, defeating Mann by less than 2% or just more than 15,000 votes.
Kobach says a midterm election is all about driving your people out to the polls, and if Marshall or Hamilton are able to get their supporters out, that could impact down ballot races like the AG race.
AG Kobach admits he sued Former President Joe Biden’s administration a lot prior to 2025. Attorney General Kobach says he’s sued President Trump too. The state won a lawsuit ending the registration of firearm suppressors back in August.
“I used to be a UMKC Law Professor. I taught Constitutional law,” Kobach said Thursday. “I’ve said, ‘Look, I’m going to defend Kansas’ constitutional rights no matter who’s President.'”
Mann says that Kobach has not stood up to the federal government enough over the past two years. He came to FOX4 for a 4 The People interview with John Holt that aired Sunday, Sept. 27.
“Everything that he does is to grab a headline and try and push his political agenda further,” Mann said in that interview. “What he’s missing out on is being able to fight for Kansans.”
