LAWRENCE (KSNT) — It didn’t feel like an exhibition on Sunday, as Duke took the win in an exciting contest, 90-84.
Then again, why would it when two blue bloods squared off as No. 2 Duke traveled to Allen Fieldhouse to take on No. 17 Kansas.
Following an 18-8 Jayhawk run to close out the first, Kansas held a 45-43 lead at the half.
Despite keeping things close to start the second half, the Blue Devils would pull away to grab the exhibition win.
Tyran Stokes led the Jayhawks with 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Kansas shot 44.6 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three.
The Jayhawks will open the regular season on Nov. 2 when Fordham comes to Allen Fieldhouse.
