SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Workers are set to begin an intersection repair project north of Topeka early next month.
Shawnee County spokeswoman Amanda Monhollon said in a press release that workers will start a repair and reconstruction project on Monday, Nov. 2 at the intersection of Northwest Topeka Boulevard and Northwest 43rd Street. The project is anticipated to last through Friday, Nov. 13, weather permitting.
Monhollon said the northbound lane of Northwest Topeka Boulevard will be closed, with northbound travelers being directed through the work zone using the turn lane. She also said Northwest 43rd Street east of Northwest Topeka Boulevard will be shut down at the intersection for the duration of the project.
Workers will be on site from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while the project is ongoing. Monhollon said there will be no marked detour, and that drivers should expect delays and account for additional travel time while moving through this area.
Temporary closures to occur on Highway 24 in Topeka Wednesday
