What We’re Tracking
- Drying out tonight
- Cooler by the middle of the week
- Much drier pattern settles in
We will cool to the lower 40s across the area Wednesday morning. Wind will be out of the west-northwest at 10-20 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph. Overcast conditions hang out through the morning, but cloud cover decreases into Wednesday afternoon.
Throughout this week, morning lows will drop back into the upper 30s to lower 40s and afternoon highs remain in the lower 60s over the next week or so. This should be a very consistent pattern, with not a lot of development over the course of the next 7 days.
There is a chance for a weak disturbance to pass through on Thursday bringing some very light rain, however current thinking is that this will pass mostly to the south of northeast Kansas. We are therefore expecting to avoid most or all of the precipitation from that system as it passes over Oklahoma. If it does manage to graze the area, it seems it would remain more to the southern counties.
