TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local financial advisor debuted her financial help book, “The Trust Process”, on Friday which delves into the importance of knowing your retirement plans.
Megan Jones and her husband Chris Jones are both financial advisors in Topeka. Together they founded Jones Advisory Group in 2008. Their goal is to educate people on their retirement plans and help them learn how to deal with financial surprises.
Megan Jones said this book is not limited to people preparing for retirement; it is also for people who want to understand finances, how to manage finances and plan for the future.
“If they could take away one thing from the book, it would be that you don’t have to have a master’s in financial planning to be able to understand what’s going on with your finances and working with a team like us or another advisor that can help walk alongside you and give you guidance is,” Megan Jones said. “I feel like, one of the best options than a lot of people actually spend more time planning for their vacations than they do their retirement. So, if you can pull away one thing, it’s that planning is going to be important when you get to retirement.”
