TOPEKA (KSNT) – The next leader for Downtown Topeka Inc. is set to take up his new role in the Capital City next month.
Andrew Holt, the former executive director of Downtown Lawrence Inc., is set to become the new face of Downtown Topeka Inc. He brings with him years of experience in other leadership roles and will officially take up his new position on July 9.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andrew Holt to the helm of Downtown Topeka Inc.,” said Sean Dixon, Interim President of Downtown Topeka Inc. and President of Visit Topeka. “With more than $500 million in new development over the past decade and major projects like the Water Tower Apartments, renovations to Constitution Hall, the KDHE and Docking Buildings, the new Link Innovation Labs, and the KBI Headquarters, downtown Topeka is at an incredibly exciting point in its trajectory. Andrew’s proven track record of building strong downtowns makes him a perfect fit to carry our momentum forward.”

Holt has also served as the leader for the Downtown Association of Yakima, Washington and director of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce in Dayton, Washington. He was selected as the person to lead Downtown Topeka Inc. due to his proven track record in building long-lasting partnerships and putting forward an energetic vision for community development.
