TOPEKA (KSNT) – Two big cats are set to make a new home for themselves in a local zoo in Topeka.
Brea Schmidt with the Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center said in a press release that two cheetahs will soon be added to the zoo’s family. The new cheetah exhibit will give visitors a close-up view of these new big cat brothers.
Frito Lay’s Chester the Cheetah will be at the zoo during a special meet-and-greet session to help celebrate the upcoming arrival of the cats. People can attend this event from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 at the zoo’s Camp Cowabunga area.

“We’re excited to welcome these magnificent creatures to our zoo family,” said Marketing & Events Director Jim Ramos with the Topeka Zoo. “Chester’s visit will make this moment even more special, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.”
