TOPEKA (KSNT) – On Monday, AE Wealth Management, a wealth management firm out of Topeka, announced it has over $40 billion in assets under its management.
According to a press release from AE Wealth Management, the company has drastically grown since its inception in 2016. In 2023, the company reported having over $19 billion in assets.

Advisors Excel was founded in 2005 by Cody Foster, David Callanan, and Derek Thompson. Their goal was to provide a service to independent financial professionals and provide access to a vast array of financial products, training, marketing and support, as well as a culture that many of the nation’s top independent financial professionals look for.

In 2023, AE Wealth Management purchased the West Ridge Mall with the goal of revitalizing the space. Following a donation from the company in 2023, Washburn University announced that it would be renaming the Henderson Learning Resources Center to Advisor’s Excel Hall.
The company has also made an impact through its local philanthropy. In 2024, the company presented a check to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for $1.36 million. In 2020, the company donated thousands of dollars from its Topeka Strong campaign, a fundraiser that supported the Helping Others Support Topeka releif plan.
