TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Capper Foundation is partnering with the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library to launch a new storytelling series for children.
The Capper Foundation will launch Preschool Storytime starting on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The reading sessions aim to foster early learning and a love of reading. The 30-minute sessions will be led by professional storytellers from the library and will be open to children between the ages of three and five at the Capper Foundation Conference Center.
Each session will run from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Preschool Storytime series is scheduled for specific Tuesdays each month, including:
- Sept. 9, 2025
- Oct. 7, 2025
- Nov. 4, 2025
- Dec. 2, 2025
- Dec. 30, 2025
- Jan. 27, 2026
- Feb. 24, 2026
- March 24, 2026
- April 21, 2026

This event is exclusive for children currently receiving services at Capper Foundation. An adult, parent, or guardian must be present with the child during storytime.
“We are eager to offer parents, grandparents and caregivers more opportunities to enjoy stories, songs and activities with their children at our new location – Capper Foundation,” said LeAnn Brungardt, Youth Services supervisor at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.
