TOPEKA (KSNT) – A bridge in Topeka’s Oakland neighborhood has officially reopened after months of road work.
Joseph Harrington with the City of Topeka said the Branner Bridge is now open as of Sept. 26. The bridge closed in early June this year for a 110-day project.
City Infrastructure Communications Specialist Amanda Knowland told 27 News the bridge would reopen before the end of the month if the contractor could complete work and remove traffic control by Sept. 30. Work crews focused on replacing pavement on and around Branner Bridge for the $825,000 project.
Why is more ‘night work’ being logged on the Polk-Quincy Viaduct project?
