JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Junction City is getting ready for the biggest fall festival of the year that promises a mix of German tradition and local flair, beer, food, music and family-friendly activities.
The Junction City Oktoberfest is set to take place on Oct. 3-4 in downtown Junction City between Sixth and 10th Street. The event will kick off at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 with an opening ceremony and go until 11 p.m. that night. On Saturday, Oct. 4, the festivities will kick off with a Biergarten and end around 10 p.m., according to the schedule.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of kids activities, live music, dance performances, a car show, an escape room and more.
The event will feature authentic German beer, pretzels, schnitzel, brats and food from various vendors. There will be more than 50 food, craft and shopping vendors.

Attendees can pick up a VIP package for $40 per person. The package offers access to a private tent and lounge area, games, entertainment, table service, two complimentary drink tickets and a German-inspired meal by Highwind. The VIP area, located at Eighth and Washington, will provide premium seating with premium views of the live performances.
Kids wrist bands will be available for $20, which will give them access to inflatables, a climbing wall, mini golf, tractor-pulled rides and crafts.
