EMPORIA (KSNT) – Resurfacing work on K-99 in Lyon county is set to begin on Oct. 10, as reported by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Starting at the southern city limits of Emporia and progressing south to the Lyon/Greenwood County line, the resurfacing work will span 16 miles. Drivers will be restricted to one lane of traffic, and they will be directed by a pilot car. People should expect a delay of up to 15 minutes when traveling through the area.
Work will occur during daylight hours Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed, according to KDOT. The project has a price tag of $3.6 million and is expected to be completed by the end of November.
