MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Do you think you have what it takes to dethrone the air guitar world champion, Nordic Thunder?
From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 16, Downtown Manhattan Inc. will be holding its Big Apple Street Fest in the 300 to 500 blocks of Poyntz Avenue. The event will include an air guitar competition, classic car show, pie-eating contest, an inflatable dash race and more.
During the “Big Air in the Little Apple” air guitar competition, locals can face off against Nordic Thunder, the air guitar world champion who’s played globally as far as the Arctic Circle and Qatar.
“Our favorite makers, performers and musicians will be in the street along with new artists and entertainers,” said Downtown Manhattan Inc. Executive Director Gina Snyder. “Many of our businesses will have their doors open for Third Thursday specials and treats as we close out the Third Thursday event season.”
