RILEY COUNTY (KSNT) – An 80-year-old man was seriously injured on Monday after a multiple-vehicle crash in Manhattan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), around 5:50 p.m. on Monday, a 16-year-old girl was stopped in a Subaru Forester and was preparing to turn left at U24 Eastbound at West 59th Ave. A 19-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord rear-ended the Subaru Forester. The Honda Accord went into the westbound lane and hit a Chrysler Town & Country driven by a 70-year-old man.
The Chrysler Town & Country was pushed into a Toyota Rav4 that was driven by a 76-year-old woman. The driver and passenger of the Chrysler Town & Country, an 80-year-old Manhattan man, were taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor and serious injuries.

The crash temporarily shut down all northbound and southbound traffic at West 59th Avenue and Tuttle Creek Boulevard.
The KHP reported that all people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
