SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – First responders are at the scene of a crash on U.S. 75 Highway north of Topeka on Thursday.
A 27 News Reporter said emergency crews are at the scene of a crash around 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 6 just south of where US 75 meets with Northwest 78th Street. At least two vehicles appear to be involved in the crash in the southbound lanes.
Abigail Christian with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said the crash was initially reported around 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 6 in the 7500 block of Northwest Highway 75. She said two people were taken to a local hospital, the drivers of each vehicle, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Christian said the crash occurred when one vehicle rear-ended another on the highway. The first vehicle had slowed down to avoid hitting two dogs in the road.
