TOPEKA (KSNT) – Public ice skating sessions are officially open at a Topeka events center this fall.
Stormont Vail Events Center is opening up its doors to locals who want to hit the ice to practice their skating skills or glide in style. People can start ice skating on Nov. 28 until Dec, 27 this year.
Locals who want to participate in the public ice skating opportunity at the events center can bring their own skates or rent a pair of either figure skates or hockey skates on a first-come, first serve basis. Admission is $10 per person, per session.

- November
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30.
- December
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7.
- 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27.
- November
Participants should enter at the southeast ground-level entrance to Landon Arena. The events center’s box office will open around 15-30 minutes before each sessions.
Historic Topeka mansion finds new purpose as event venue
All participants will be required to sign a waiver before they’re allowed to enter the ice skating area. These are available on site or can be printed off and completed before arrival.
