TOPEKA (KSNT) – A family favorite museum in the Capital City hosted a magical event with the Kansas Ballet on Friday for friends and families of all ages to enjoy.
The Kansas Ballet showed up and performed at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, assisted by one of their performers as the sugar plum fairy, from 11 a.m. to noon on Nov. 28. With the recent expansion of the facility, the dancer was able to perform on the new stage and take pictures with children and their families.
“We’re just so grateful to get to be a part of it as Kansas Ballet, to bring them some of the arts and to bring them a little bit of Christmas magic as the Christmas season starts,” said Amy Reazin-Force from Kansas Ballet.

“We’re in town visiting family, and they love coming here,” said Victoria Fleming, a parent. “And we love coming to visit as well because we love getting out of the house, getting to play, and this has always held a special place in our hearts getting to come and let our kids play, discover, and learn as they are here.”
The Kansas Ballet will be performing “The Nutcracker” at the Topeka Performing Arts Center Dec. 20-21. You can learn more about this event by clicking here.
