TOPEKA (KSNT) – Businesses are cashing in after many Topekans rushed to the store for help with today’s snow.
Products like snow salt, shovels and heaters are in high demand. A local Topeka business says feed for animals also gets sold more during the colder weather. We asked Levi Tarwater, from Tarwater Farm and Home Supply, how his business did during this winter rush.
What to know before driving in the snow
“These snowy days definitely bring in lots of traffic,” said Tarwater. “These are crazy crazy days. It’s immediate even actually if it’s predicted a lot of times the day before we’ll start seeing that flow in the day before a big storm is to hit.”
Tarwater says he’s happy to provide the products to the local community.
