TOPEKA (KSNT) – Fans of the television show “Survivor” can start their search for a hidden immunity idol tucked away somewhere in Kansas.
The CBS TV show “Survivor” is capping off 50 seasons with a nationwide scavenger hunt this year. Clues are being released in all 50 states, including Kansas, for people to follow in order to track down hidden “immunity idols.”
“We’ve hidden immunity idols, 50 of them, one in every state,” said “Survivor” host Jeff Probst in a promotional video. “Your job: solve the clues, find the idol for a shot at an unbelievable prize.”

People who locate the immunity idols will win a trip to the “Survivor” season 50 live finale. Hunters who are interested in participating will need to register for the challenge online, solve a clue listed for their respective states, arrive at the specified location at the appointed time, then follow another set of clues at the location to uncover the hidden immunity idol.
Multiple people may find the idol and register during the time listed. If you find the idol, you need to scan its QR code, take a photo while holding it and complete a submission to be entered into the grand prize sweepstakes.
The time frame for the idol in Kansas is listed as 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST on Saturday, Jan. 31. The first clue for the Sunflower State is listed below:
“In the birthplace of he who knows what you play for,
Sits a building that once taught young minds.
North west’s not right, but rather the opposite,
A southern entrance beckons for those who arrive.”
