TOPEKA (KSNT) – Schools all over Topeka spent the day celebrating Kansas’ birthday at the Capitol Building.
Students were able to take a tour around the Kansas Statehouse, take a look at the murals, hear about the history of the state and, the fan favorite, climb up the dome.
“I think it’s really cool that it’s Kansas State and we actually get to come here for a field trip on Kansas Day,” said student Harper Patch.
“It is breathtaking and so cool,” said student Lila Thrasher.
“I loved the state library. I really liked the dome tour,” said student Hannah Muller.
