SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Two local schools entered secure campus conditions Wednesday morning due to local law enforcement activity.
USD 437 spokeswoman Jessica Roberts told 27 News that Pauline Central Primary School at 6625 SW Westview Rd. and Pauline South Intermediate at 7035 SW Morrill Rd. entered secure campus on Feb. 4 due to the presence of law enforcement in the nearby area. She said the law enforcement activity is unrelated to anything happening at either school.
“Please view this as a proactive message to keep you informed. Pauline Central and Pauline South are entering Secure Campus for activity in the area unrelated to the school. As a reminder, Secure Campus is when students remain inside the building with all activities continuing as normal.
There is no information to indicate a cause for concern for our students or staff, but we believe it is prudent to exercise caution during this time. Another update will be provided when Secure Campus has been lifted.”
