TOPEKA (KSNT) – People living in north Topeka and Oakland can expect traffic disruptions on a nearby bridge this week.
Robert Bidwell with the City of Topeka said the westbound lane on Sardou Avenue and Morse Street will be closed from Porubsky Drive to Quincy Street in north Topeka on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Evergy will be replacing power poles on the north side of the roads, according to the city. The traffic on the impacted lanes, which are on Sardou Bridge connecting Oakland to north Topeka, will be directed and controlled with flaggers.
Street access to Porubsky Drive will be open, but flaggers will still direct traffic. This project is expected to be finished by the end of the day on Feb. 18.
