WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A pickup crashed head-on into a school bus Wednesday morning in rural central Kansas.
It happened about 7:15 a.m. near Lost Springs in Marion County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a 75-year-old man from Lost Springs was going west on 340th Street near Sunflower Road when he fell asleep at the wheel. His pickup drifted into the eastbound lane and hit a school bus, which had already come to a stop, according to the patrol.

Seven students were on board the bus. KHP said one had a possible injury but did not need to go the hospital. The bus driver was not injured.
The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to the crash report.
