TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Kansas Highway Patrol announced on Friday that a trooper has officially returned to duty after he sustained injuries from a shooting in Osage County late last year.
KHP Trooper Adam Ellis is back on duty after he sustained injuries in a shooting that left three other deputies near Carbondale injured on Nov. 15, 2025, according to a KHP social media post. The three Osage County deputies who were also injured in the shooting have recently returned to duty late last month.
