TOPEKA (KSNT) – A man is dead after he suffered critical injuries when a vehicle hit him near a busy west Topeka intersection last week.
Kimberly Qualls with the City of Topeka told 27 News on March 3 that a man who was hit during a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident last Thursday has died. Qualls said that, out of respect and consideration for the man’s family, police will not be identifying the man at this time. The investigation into his death remains active.
Past Reporting
First responders were notified of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26 in the 3700 block of Southwest 10th Avenue. Police and medical personnel arriving at the scene found a vehicle had struck a man.
First responders transported the man via AMR to a local hospital for treatment of his life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.
