TOPEKA (KSNT) – A street just south of Washburn University’s campus will be blocked off due to work on a nearby gas leak Tuesday.
Joseph Harrington with the City of Topeka said on March 10 that Southwest 21st Street from College Avenue to Washburn Avenue will be closed until the end of the day. He said the road segment will be closed so workers can locate and repair a gas leak.
Harrington said that it is anticipated that 21st Street will open by the end of the day on Tuesday, but the same area will need to be closed again on March 11 so workers can complete repairs.
