JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers report two people from Topeka are injured following a crash on Wednesday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 4 p.m. on March 18 where U.S. 75 Highway and 126th Road meet in Jackson County. The driver of a 2016 Kia Sedona was backing out into traffic from 126th Road while another driver in a 2016 Buick Encore was heading north on the highway. The Buick hit the Sedona on its rear passenger side.
The KHP said the driver of the Sedona, a 25-year-old woman from Topeka, had minor injuries due to the crash while her three-year-old passenger had a complaint of pain. The driver of the Buick, a 61-year-old woman from Topeka, also had a minor injury due to the crash.
Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, according to the KHP. Everyone involved in this crash was wearing a seat belt.
