SILVER LAKE (KSNT) – Law enforcement has released the name of a man who died as a result of a tractor rollover incident on Thursday.
The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said the man who died after becoming trapped beneath a tractor earlier this week is Victor M. Taylor, 76, of Silver Lake. An investigation into the events leading up to his death is underway.

First responders were called around 3:15 p.m. on March 19 regarding a tractor rollover incident in the 4000 block of Northwest Hoch Road just north of Silver Lake. Multiple agencies responded to the call including AMR, Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Silver Lake Fire Department and a Life Star helicopter.
Law enforcement and medical personnel located a man, later identified as Taylor, trapped beneath a tractor at the scene. First responders rendered aid to him at the scene and noted he was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite attempts to save his life, medical personnel declared him dead at the scene.
