TOPEKA (KSNT) – EasterFest is going to look a little different in Topeka this year as it changes locations and adds new activities to take the place of its parade.
Topeka’s 11th annual EasterFest celebrations will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at a new location this year at the North Topeka Arts District. While there won’t be a parade this year, there will still be many opportunities to get outside and enjoy the festivities with friends and family.

Kevin Dole, an organizer for the event, joined the 27 News Morning Show on March 25 to chat about what people can expect to find at this year’s EasterFest. He said there will be live music, Easter egg hunts for different age groups, food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting and more.
“We’ve always had a parade, this year we weren’t able to do the parade because of some traffic restrictions so we had to build in some other things to make up for it,” Dole said.
EasterFest will reportedly have more than 100 vendors from Topeka and other parts of Kansas taking part in the celebrations this year. People will be able to explore what they have to offer up and down the 800 to 1000 blocks of North Kansas Avenue in NOTO.
People will be able to find events like the Big Egg Hunt in Veterans Park alongside the petting zoo, inflatables, cake walk and food trucks. NOTO’s Redbud Park will have live music, vendors and the kid’s foam party.
