TOPEKA (KSNT) – Starting on Monday, construction is set to begin on Southwest Wanamaker Road and Westport Drive.
According to Robert Bidwell of the City of Topeka in a release on March 25, northbound and southbound traffic on Wanamaker Road will be restricted to one lane in the outside lanes in order to remove the center median, starting on Monday, March 30.
The traffic change is done to make way for a center left-turn lane for southbound access onto Westport Drive. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of April with weather permitting. To check local traffic impacts from construction, you can visit KanDrive’s website.
