TOPEKA (KSNT) – The woman behind a Holton furniture and home décor store is almost ready to open the doors of her business after its move to the Capital City.
Abra Wheeler, owner of Uptown Treasures, is busy settling in to her store’s new home in Topeka at the Gage Village Shopping Center. Wheeler recently relocated her shop to the Capital City after a 15-year run in Holton and said her store has “a little bit of something for everybody.”
Wheeler describes Uptown Treasures as a place where people can find things to spruce up their living rooms. Most of the store’s contents include furniture, home décor, wall art, diffusers, candles, jewelry and more.

“I try really hard to have different things than everybody else,” Wheeler said.
Wheeler said she frequently commuted to Topeka and it made sense to shift her store south. She said she is planning to open up shop at the start of April.
“I’m planning on April 1,” Wheeler said. “I don’t know if that’ll be the grand opening, but it’ll at least be the soft opening.”
Uptown Treasures will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. You can find it at 4034 SW Huntoon St. in Topeka.
“If you have $5, you’re gonna find something,” Wheeler said. “If you have $500, you’ll find something.”
