WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A missing Kansas man was located deceased Saturday evening.
Around 6:15 p.m., Chase County deputies and emergency medical services were called to the Dollar General in Cottonwood Falls for a welfare check.
First responders checked on the man who was inside a vehicle in the store’s parking lot and found him to be deceased.
On Sunday, the Chase County Sheriff’s Office identified him as 31-year-old Austin Barnes of Topeka, who had been listed as a missing person.
