RILEY COUNTY (KSNT) – Police report a 25-year-old is dead after a pedestrian vs. train incident on Monday morning.
The Riley County Police Department reports that officers were called around 2:10 a.m. on March 30 for a reported train hitting a pedestrian near East Highway 24 and Levee Drive. First responders arriving at the scene found a 25-year-old had been struck by a train.
Police said the 25-year-old died at the scene. The name of the individual has yet to be released. The RCPD reports that no further information will be released at this time.
