TOPEKA (KSNT) – Firefighters are battling a house fire in central Topeka Tuesday morning.
The Topeka Fire Department is responding to a reported house fire at 10:30 a.m. in the area of Southwest 19th Street and Southwest Oakley Avenue on March 31. Firefighters at the scene report the fire started on the exterior of the home.

The TFD told 27 News that residents inside the house were able to self-evacuate. Fire crews are assessing fire and smoke damage at the home.
