What We’re Tracking
- Warm lifts across the area
- Thin line of storms east for Friday afternoon
- Cooler, clear for Easter weekend
A warm front lifts across the area so we warm up quickly early on today. A second storm system arrives by Friday afternoon. This will kick up our southwest breezes at 15-25mph through the day on Friday. Highs vary depending on location as a cold front follows right behind the warm front.
As the cold front slides through the area, a thin line of strong to severe storms are expected. This will put the highest chance for storms and most potential for severe weather over the eastern portions of the state.
We’ll clear out and cool down as we go throughout the weekend. Highs to begin the weekend will be below average in the upper 50s with a gusty northwest wind. Easter Sunday will be around average for this time of year after a cold start in the lower 30s with highs in the lower to middle 60s and plenty of sun.
