TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka police report two people are critically injured following a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning.
Lieutenant Ron Ekis with the Topeka Police Department said in a press release the crash occurred shortly after 4:15 a.m. on April 12 at the roundabout of Southeast 37th Street and Southeast California Avenue. Police received reports of a motorcycle crash in the area involving two people.
First responders found the motorcycle rider and a passenger at the scene who were seriously injured. Ekis said the pair were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The motorcycle passenger reportedly has life-threating injuries.
Police closed the area to investigate the crash. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area while police are on site.
