JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Police report one person is dead after a vehicle crashed into a local Walmart store in Junction City Sunday.
Cadin Sanner with the Junction City Police Department said in a press release that officers responded to a reported crash just before 8:30 p.m. on April 12 at the Walmart located at 512 East Chestnut St. in Junction City. First responders arriving at the scene found a vehicle had hit “large electrical components” associated with the store, causing it to lose power and shut down.
Police found one person dead inside the vehicle and secured the scene while reaching out to detectives for help with the death investigation. Sanner said no foul play is suspected in this death at this time, but the situation remains under investigation.
