TOPEKA (KSNT) – Law enforcement responded to a reported standoff in Pottawatomie County Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted the Wamego Police Department in a standoff which led to a man brought into custody that started around 1 p.m. on April 20 near the 600 Block of Ash Street, according to the KHP.

Brodi Gosch, A KHP captain, told 27 News on the scene that the WPD were responding to an arrest warrant from Riley County, and one person refused arrest—the WPD requested assistance from the KHP at around 1 p.m. and leading to an hours long standoff with the reported suspect. An individual was taken into police custody around 9 p.m.
The person in custody will likely be taken to the Pottawatomie County jail, according to Gosch. We will update this story with more information as we get it.
