TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local card store is set to reopen under a new name this weekend at the Fairlawn Plaza Mall in Topeka’s west side.
Trudy’s Hallmark is getting ready to hold its grand opening inside the shopping center in southwest Topeka. The store’s team are planning some special giveaways to mark the occasion and give its first guests a warm welcome, according to a press release issued on April 22.
Trudy’s Hallmark is picking up where Cards ‘n Such left off. Staff at the former store announced in late 2025 that longtime owner, Pam Gentz, would be retiring after over 40 years of service at Cards ‘n Such.
“This special event marks a new chapter for the store formerly known as Cards ‘n Such, as Trudy’s Hallmark proudly carries on its legacy of friendly service and meaningful connections.”
