FRANKLIN COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers busted a motorcyclist recently in northeast Kansas for going more than 90 mph over the set speed limit.
The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) posted to social media on May 5 the results of a recent traffic stop in Franklin County on I-35. A KHP trooper pulled over a motorcyclist who was allegedly traveling at 168 mph in a 75 mph zone.
The trooper gave the motorcyclist a ticket for the speeding violation. The total amount due on the ticket came out to almost $1,250.

The KHP issues thousands of speeding tickets every year to drivers who are going over 100 mph in Kansas. While drivers can receive large tickets for excessive speeding violations, speeding alone is not enough to warrant an arrest, according to the KHP.
