TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Hornets were unable to ignite their bats in the MIAA title game.
Emporia State baseball (37-16, 22-14), falls short of the MIAA Tournament title to top-seeded and No. 5 Pittsburg State (43-9, 27-9). The Gorillas would run-rule the Hornets for an 11-1 win in seven innings.
The Hornets would grab just two hits, with their sole run coming in the fifth when Logan Myers hit a solo home run.
