GEARY COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers report a woman is dead and a man is seriously injured following a motorcycle crash Sunday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred just after 7:20 p.m. on May 10 where Old Highway 40 and Kansas Falls Road meet in Geary County. A motorcyclist with one passenger on a 2002 Harley-Davidson was traveling west on Old Highway 40 while approaching Kansas Falls Road just before the crash.
The KHP said the motorcyclist failed to navigate a curve and lost control. The motorcycle crashed, causing both the rider and passenger to be ejected.
The passenger, Amanda W. Conrad, 38, of Junction City, died in the crash, according to the KHP. The motorcycle rider, a 49-year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma man, had serious injuries following the crash.

Medical personnel transported the Oklahoma man to a nearby hospital for treatment. Neither the motorcycle rider nor the passenger had helmets on at the time of the crash.
