LYON COUNTY (KSNT) – Deputies in Lyon County are looking for new homes for a batch of puppies found abandoned on the side of a local road in the Emporia area.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office announced in a social media post around 7:50 p.m. on May 12 that its deputies collected nine puppies near the intersection of Road K and Road 155 just south of Emporia. The sheriff’s office said five puppies are black while another four are reddish-brown in coloration.
“Information from residents in the area suggest that these puppies were dumped and abandoned by their owner. If you have any information of these puppies or are interested in adopting, please get in touch with the Sheriff’s Office.”
