OSAWATOMIE (KSNT) – The Osage City flag football team made history Monday.
Players on the Osage City flag football team won their first-ever flag football game on Sept. 14, beating Osawatomie 36-7.
Reagan Farwell was 11-17 for 172 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the win. She connected with Chenoa Fendley for two scores, as Fendley finished with a team-high 68 yards.
Brynaa Burd and Maddie Heptinstall each caught a touchdown. Defensively, the Indians had four interceptions from four different players.
Wamego girls flag football opens season 2-0, outscores opponents 84-0
Kristin Van Cleave, Izzy Ldya, Rylee Venters and Avery Brooks each tabbed an interception in the win. Van Cleave had a team-high seven pulls in the win.
The Indians lost their second game of the day to Wamego 25-0.
Osage City will host Baldwin at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, for a double-header.
Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) officially sanctioned girls’ flag football as a varsity high school sport starting with the 2026–27 school year.
